Jim Starr is a British contemporary artist whose work detonates where street art, pop culture and classic painting collide. Trained at Chelsea College of Art and Kingston University, he has lit up walls in Britain, Europe and across the world with exhibitions that place him alongside some of the most talked‑about names in urban and pop‑influenced art.

Working with hand‑pulled screen prints built from many layers of drawing, photography and collage, Starr treats every print like a one‑off event rather than a routine edition. His images raid the worlds of pin‑ups, pulp posters and nightlife, twisting them into bold, high‑energy scenes that feel like flyers for a party you definitely should not miss.

These 2008 prints were commissioned directly from the artist in London: a limited edition of five impressions of each of three images on three paper types. They capture Starr at a moment when he was pushing his mix of everyday glamour, dark humor and graphic punch right to the edge.
