THE MISFIT CLUB  was born in Mystic as a bar for people who don’t fit neatly anywhere else — the fashion kids, the introverts, the locals, the “what are you exactly?” crowd who are bored of generic bars and scripted nights out.

It quickly turned into a year‑round home base for misfits and fellow travelers who wanted good beer, smart music, oddball events, and a room that actually felt like it was built for them, not for a focus group.

Eastern Syndicate LLC, the parent company, has now passed the Mystic bar operations to trusted hands but kept THE MISFIT CLUB brand, recipes, and playbook so we can grow a small, carefully curated collection of misfit havens in new cities over time.

For now, we may say "yes" to a few similar licensing arrangements with independent owners who truly “get it”; but over time, we plan to offer an easy‑to‑implement MISFIT CLUB franchise option for partners who want to carry the spirit forward, open a misfit home of their own, and be part of the next chapter of this very odd, very intentional little family.
